Posted on: July 2nd, 2012 by Geoffrey Warner No Comments

Geoffrey Warner Studio invites the public to CELEBRATE the grand opening of our new wing on Friday, July 6th. Beginning at 4pm, enjoy LIVE Music, refreshments, and tours of the new shop & expanded gallery area.

Studio Expansion 2012!

Come try our new ergonomic Rolling Owl Stool—as seen in the July issues of Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors and Design New England magazines.

Rolling Owl Stools available in black & autumn red, plus the colors above.

The Live music continues into the evening– from 7pm until the musician’s fingers begin to blister! We invite musicians to bring an instrument for an open session from 7pm-8pm—enhance your musical abilities by sitting on & enjoying the comfort of an Owl Stool!

From 8pm onward, some of our very fine local musicians will perform an eclectic acoustic mix of songs and fiddle tunes.  Come and enjoy an evening of live music and merriment!

Hear a sample of the night’s music.

July 6th is also the Stonington Galleries’ First Friday Open Galleries Night—eight galleries are open 4pm-7pm and offer artist receptions and demonstrations.  There’s plenty to do in Stonington!  The Stonington Galleries website provides Gallery descriptions and the brochure contains a touring map.  G.W. Studio is #2 on the map–and again, we’ll begin our celebration at 4pm and continue into the evening.  See you Friday, July 6th!

Geoff Goes Undercover!

Posted on: June 13th, 2012 by Geoffrey Warner 2 Comments

Usually Geoff completes his custom woodworking projects in the shop, but occasionally he must add the finishing touches on-site.

As we described in an earlier Custom Doors blog, Geoff recently made four wooden live edge doors for a NYC family.  During the installation, he needed to get creative and used a sheet as a dust catcher when he routed the doors for the on-site fitting.  For a chuckle, checkout the brief  “Geoff Goes Undercover” video.  Here’s an image of two installed doors–the live edge tree panels are frame by mahogany:

During the last blog, we mentioned the great article in July Issue of Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, here’s a link to the article if you haven’t seen the issue yet.

For folks in the Stonington Maine area, see you at the Farmer’s Market on Friday, 10-12!

Come try an Owl Stool — a great wooden stool for Kitchens, Living Rooms & Offices!
