2013 New Owl® Pricing

Posted on: February 21st, 2013 by Geoffrey Warner No Comments

Greetings from Maine,

2013 is expected to be a very exciting year for Geoffrey Warner Studio.  We hope it will be a year of growth and new products.

Our review of the last few years revealed that our goal to sell our products at the lowest price possible has hindered our ability to sustain the business and hire needed workers.

For 2013, we must raise our Owl® Furniture prices.  New Prices will take effect on February 26th. **

New 2013 MSRP Pricing for our most popular sellers will be:

3 legged 18” Owl Stool: $360

3 legged 24” Owl Stool: $430

4 legged 24” Owl Stool: $495

4 legged 25-32” Owl Bar Stool: $525

Rolling Owl Stool: $595

Owl Perch: $675

**For current friends and their friends, we will honor our 2012 pricing through March 10th.  To order, call or email us and use Code “FRIENDS2012.”

One of our founding philosophies for Owl Furniture was to offer fine furniture that would be affordable to friends, neighbors, and everyone. We will continue to honor that philosophy through the continued offering of our 3 legged wooden stools, Owl Stool Kits and workshops.  We will also offer special discounts to our friends and supporters through our monthly e-newsletter.  Be sure to sign-up (email us or enter your email at the bottom of all website pages).

As we move forward, we will remain committed to building the finest ergonomic, hand-crafted furniture in Maine.  Each Owl Seat is made from renewable American cherry or walnut and will continue to be hand-finished to bring out the natural beauty of the wood grain.

For those who have purchased Owl Stools, please send us your testimonials.  We appreciate the stories of comfort and pain relief.  Your kind words have inspired our new tag line “Love your back!”

Thank you again for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Geoff

‘Tis the Season for Owl Chairs!

Posted on: December 7th, 2012 by Geoffrey Warner No Comments

There has been a lot of action happening down in the shop in the recent weeks! Everyone has been working long hours preparing orders of multiple Owl Chairs and 4 Legged Owl Stools with Backs. Below are just a few images of Geoff, Steve and Iana hard at work putting together the chairs, and having fun while doing it.

These images are of the two 24″ Walnut Owl Chairs being made:

It's never, "all work and no play" with these two!
As well as the 24″ Owl Chair, we are finishing up 2 pairs of 24″ 4 Legged Owl Stools with backs (as shown in the picture below). The Owl Chairs back extends to the floor in a fantail shape becoming the back leg structure for the chair (as shown in the photos above).

Geoff’s Bar Stool Video & RI Furniture Show

Posted on: October 31st, 2012 by Geoffrey Warner No Comments

Characters welcome!  The conversation and joking never stops in our shop!  This week Geoff and Steve worked on several bar stools for our affiliate partner, Deb’s Natural Gourmet store, located in Concord, MA.  Here’s a behind-the-scenes peak at Geoff & Steve finishing the bar stools :

The stools are 26 inches in height and were made with walnut seats and ash legs.  This all-wooden stool was finished with two coats of natural tung oil.  The holes in the seats help create the perfect postural support.  Sit for hours without fidgeting!

If you’re traveling near Concord, MA, stop by Deb’s wonderful store to “test drive” these Bar Stools and select some yummy natural food.  The stools should be in the store by Saturday, November 3rd.  If you don’t live near Concord, check out our Store Locator, to find a shop with Owl Furniture near you!

Also, Geoff is heading to the Fine Furnishings Show near Providence, RI.  The show is November 2-4 at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center.  A discount admission coupon is available in last week’s blog.  We hope to see you there!

Building Rolling Owl Stools

Posted on: October 11th, 2012 by Geoffrey Warner 6 Comments

You may think that you’re looking at Santa’s Workshop…

We’ve got a seat for you!

…and you’d be right, after all even the big guy needs helpers!  Geoff & the crew are busy getting ready for the holiday season.  The first batch of cherry & walnut seats are sanded and ready for their coats of natural tung oil.

In our new addition, we’re assembling the many Rolling Owl bases that just arrived from our Maine powder-coater. Each of the staff has a favorite color.  If Buddy the Elf were here, he’d ask “What’s your favorite color?” — Big Smile Red, Lobstah Orange, Her Eye’s in Blue, Night Owl Black, Tropical Blue or Foggy Morning Green?

Rolling Owl Stool bases just arrived from the powder-coater. Love those colors!

Polly loves to help!

Once the bases are assembled and the tung oil dries on each seat, the base is paired with either a walnut or cherry seat.  With the fall season in full swing the Lobstah Orange base with a walnut seat and the Foggy Morning Green with a walnut seat have been very popular!

For those who are not familiar with the Owl Stool, be sure to read the Anatomy of an Owl.  Our Owls are more than just a stool–they’re the best seat in house!  The postural support holes literally let you sit hours without fatigue.

As always, we appreciate your support and hope that you’re enjoying everything that the Fall season has to offer!

Geoff  & the Owl Team

NEXT OWL Stool Workshop is Wednesday 10/17/12 – call to register.

Our Studio is open year round, 10-4 Tues-Friday and other days by chance or appointment.   207.367.6555  ~ www.geoffreywarnerstudio.com
