Custom Table Revealed

Custom Walnut Bookmatch Dining Room Table by Geoffrey Warner Studio
During this past December, Geoff feverishly worked on a new table design in order to deliver a client’s Christmas Table in time for the holiday dinner!

Constructing the table base from resilient ash wood, Geoff created a new design for the table “knees.”  Geoff said, ” no matter how many projects I complete, the excitement of taking a drawing and making it come to life is a thrill!”

Our Connecticut clients chose walnut bookmatched boards for the table top.  Geoff’s crew applied a natural tung oil to bring out the beautiful grain and provide protection to the live edge wood. This video shows the transformation:

The image below shows Geoff assembling the live edge Christmas table as the new owners stand by to help with the flip and positioning.  The table measures 92″ x 48″ x 30″.

These live edge walnut boards provide everyone at the table with a unique view into the tree's interior.

Walnut Sofa Tables from Start to Finish

Posted on: July 18th, 2012 by Geoffrey Warner 2 Comments

This week, Geoffrey Warner Studio was buzzing with the creation of two Live Edge Sofa Tables.  Constructed of fine walnut, these two book-match tables measured 60 in x 16-18 in x 29 in.

Geoff used European Walnut for the tops and American Walnut for the bases.  The knee braces not only add a beautiful design element, but also make the tables incredibly strong.  Geoff used mortise & floating tenon joinery throughout the tables.  Watch the table assembly….and start dreaming of the perfect live edge piece for your home!

As always, we appreciate your interest in our furniture!  Don’t forget to visit us at the Stonington Farmer’s Market on Fridays from 10-12 and see you this weekend July 21-22 at the Blue Hill Fine Craft Show.  Come try an Owl Stool!
