Wow! … after spending many hours, days and weeks compiling documents, crunching numbers, and projecting goals we have received a $25,000 federally funded, micro grant/loan from the Town of Stonington. Our plans are to expand the shop by adding on a 20′ x 16′ finishing, shipping and packing room to help with increased orders for Owl Furniture. We will be expanding our online marketing capabilities to reaching out globally, and upgrading our work van to a newer and larger vintage. As a commitment to the town and our community, our goals are to attract more orders and create jobs. We plan on interfacing with the high school to offer apprenticeships. By honoring community, ecology, and economy, our founding philosophy, we will continue to offer Owl stool workshops while designing and building smartly, and pass savings on to our customers.
The Owl Stool is expected to be featured in the Furniture Society booth at the Architectural Digest Home and Design Show in New York from March 17 – 20th http://www.archdigesthomeshow.com/
