Wood From Around the World, Giving a Second Life to these Amazing Grandfather Trees

Over the past twelve months we have had the opportunity to create an assortment of large live edged table commissions using some amazing board from around the world. Thanks to the trusting support of our customers and to our supplier, Hearne Hardwood, http://www.hearnehardwoods.com/ we have designed and built four beautiful tables and two desk.

I wish I new more about the origin of the trees that these boards came from, their stories and how old they were. Often these giants are destined to come down.  A road needswidening, someone wants to develop the land, or they get old, or diseased and die, leaving light and space for new saplings.

I feel extremely fortunate to be able to give a second life to, at least one part these amazing grandfathers.   I thank the trees for their beautiful wood and for helping to bring joy to my work so I can pass the same on to my customers.
